This big park on the north end of Magnolia is getting an overhaul next year. It’s a good thing, because Lawton Park looks like it hasn’t gotten new play equipment in a long time.
The park is positioned on a hillside above Lawton Elementary School. You can take in views of Magnolia as you climb the hill to where several trails split off. You’ll pass a baseball/softball/soccer field, a simple set of swings and a merry-go-round. It will be great for neighborhood kids when new equipment is installed and there’s more to do in this park.
For now, though, I’d come back just to explore these great trails.
