Madrona Ravine is a small piece of land that connects to the larger Madrona Park near Lake Washington. This area, encompassing both parks, is known to protective neighbors as Madrona Woods.
You can’t get lost in these woods, but you can feel far away from everything. Trails wander through the tall trees leading down the steep hillside toward the waterfront side of Madrona Park.
As I walked through today, I heard at least five different bird calls including a very busy woodpecker. How’s that for an urban hike?
