Half a soccer team is holding an informal practice session practically under the overpass that runs adjacent to one side of Georgetown Playfield. These fields were recently resurfaced and make for a great place to hold recreation soccer games.
You’ll also find baseball/softball fields, a half basketball court and tennis courts.
Kids can play in the play area, which is ADA-compliant. And, next year they can make a big splash in a new water spray park that’s being converted from an existing wading pool. It’s scheduled to be completed by the end of 2010.
Georgetown is one of Seattle’s oldest neighborhoods, and this park has been around since the 1920s.
