Everyone visits Jimi Hendrix’s grave. But, how many people have been to his park? How many of you even knew we had a park named in his honor?
Well, you can visit it yourself next door to the Northwest African American Museum in Seattle’s Central District.
The park melds into Sam Smith Park and connects to the I-90 trail, which is popular among bikers. The main feature is a large flat lawn that would be a great place for impromptu sports or even community events.
Plans are in the works to do more with this park to honor Seattle’s most famous musician.
