Judkins Park has great walking and biking connections to other nearby parks and the popular I-90 trail. This large park also has ball fields, tennis courts and lots of picnic spots.
The play area is very nice and ADA-accessible. Judkins also has a “spray park,” which I’m betting is a huge neighborhood draw for little kids in the summer.
The park is named after Norman Judkins, a local realtor in the late 1800s. According to the city’s Web site, Mr. Judkins named several city streets after himself to remind everyone who had founded this area of the city. I’m not sure who decided we needed to name a park after him, too.
