This park has been around for several decades, but I was pleased to see that the playground structure at Peppi’s Playground appeared to be very new. This is a great park for young kids, especially in summer when the wading pool is open.
The park has a large grass area and many tall trees, so it is also lovely for picnics or games of Frisbee.
Sadly, the park is named after an eight-year-old boy who was killed in a bicycle/car accident in 1971. Happily, the park (and the playground of Leschi Elementary next door) are frequently filled with the joyful sounds of kids playing.
