You know when you see toys strewn about a small neighborhood park that it gets good use. I was happy when I saw that at 6th Avenue NW Pocket Park in Ballard.
In addition to the evidence of children living nearby, you’ll find benches, a flat lawn and a nice mix of small trees and native shrubs.
The Parks Department snatched up this land when it was no longer needed as a Seattle City Light substation. I’m sure the children in this neighborhood are very happy with the outcome.
