Queen Anne has a lot of parks, many of them with great views. But, I like David Rodgers Park even though it’s one of the few without much of a view at all. Come to this park instead for the walking trails that begin at the more landscaped top section of the park and wind downhill through a more natural setting. There’s also a play area, tennis courts and a large grass field.
David Rodgers Park melds together with the Queen Anne Bowl Playfield that you’ll find at the bottom of the hill.
Rodgers was a Seattle ship builder (1864-1923), and his employees made a donation to have the park named in his honor.
