Just across the street from Seattle University is a new park that is perfect for a spring lunch break. Try to snag the picnic table (it’s even wheelchair friendly with room to scoot under the table) that sits to one side of the park or sit on one of the raised concrete circles.
Suspended above the park is a large round net sculpture called “Cloud Veil” that makes the paved public space more interesting. Native plants rim the edges of the park.
James Court, which runs perpendicular to 12th Ave. has also been re-engineered to favor walkers and bikers. The whole area is now friendlier to students, people living or working nearby and people with limited mobility.
