Several little-known playgrounds in the High Point neighborhood in West Seattle recently caught my attention. Bataan Park is one of the most interesting because it has a playground for kids, as well as adult fitness equipment to encourage all ages to be active.
You’ll also find a flat lawn that’s great for Frisbee or soccer and plenty of benches tucked around the playground. A short paved path circles the park, which is a nice loop for kids on bikes.
One of the best things about this park is its connection to the Longfellow Creek Trail and several other great parks in the Delridge neighborhood. Look for the stairs at the eastern edge of the park.
