Don’t doubt that this kid-focused park is worth the drive from anywhere in Seattle or the Eastside. My five playground testers today spent nearly three hours here, and I could barely drag them away despite exhaustion.
Fisher Creek Park, inside the Snoqualmie Ridge community, is a fantastic park for older kids who love some good risk-taking. They’ll have plenty of places to get their hearts racing with seven steep, scary slides (I can personally vouch for their speed!), two zip lines, an amazing climbing wall, a net dome climber and an obstacle course-style play structure.
The park is close to very busy Snoqualmie Parkway, but it sits down the slope and has protection for noise and safety with a line of trees. Little kids will like the merry-go-round and assorted springy toys. You’ll also have picnic tables for an outdoor lunch. Shade is the only thing that’s tough to find here.
If and when they finally get bored, take the wooded trail to find mountain bike trails and a terrain park. Designed for beginners and intermediates, these trails have sections that are friendly even to young kids on balance bikes.
Forgot your bikes? Check out the Snoqualmie Ridge trail system that connects from the west end of Fisher Creek Park.
