In 1903 two Seattle families, the Moomaws and the Andersons, gave a little more than two acres of land to the city of Seattle. The spot is now called Sunset Hill Park, and its views are a wonderful legacy to the city.
Sunset Hill Park is located in west Ballard high up on the bluff, so the views of the Olympics and Puget Sound are unobstructed. There’s a little walking path that follows the fence-line for slightly different vistas.
You’ll also find a couple of picnic tables for taking in some food with your view.
