I somehow missed this park several times walking around the International District today. If it wasn’t for my friend, A, who pointed out that I had marked my map wrong–I was off by several blocks–I would probably still be looking for this park.
It’s not that it goes unnoticed. It’s just tucked into the corner of the district that gets a little less foot traffic than the busy main roads packed with eateries.
Anyway, it’s a park worth seeking out if you’re in the area and your kids are antsy to play. There’s a small play structure and a merry-go-round, but the coolest thing is the dragon that I’m sure kids can’t resist climbing on.
The park is scheduled to undergo a renovation, which will make it even more utilized by area families.
