A gigantic cowboy hat and boots greet visitors to Oxbow Park in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood. “Hat ‘N’ Boots” was rescued from a Texaco gas station where they were icons in the 1950s.
They’re now designated as a Seattle landmark after many residents protested their destruction by marching in cowboy boots through Georgetown. That would have been a fun sight to see.
The hat creates a nice shelter if rain rolls in while you’re exploring this park. There’s also a small play area for kids and a P-Patch garden.

Those giant shoes are really cool! I wonder who made that pair of giant boots.
