After you’ve checked out Madison Park, walk north through the beautiful residential area to another, much less known, park appropriately called Madison Park North Beach.
This park doesn’t have the handy swimming area of its sister park, but it’s much less crowded on summer days and has even better views of Lake Washington.
Locals are also in on another secret of this park: In August, it’s heaven for blackberry pickers. You might have to wait many months for those to be ripe in Seattle again, but you don’t have to wait to enjoy a walk in this park-friendly neighborhood.
