It’s pretty tough to avoid getting house-envy when you walk along Hunter Boulevard in the Mount Baker neighborhood. The old, elegant homes that line this beautiful boulevard rival those found on Capitol Hill and Queen Anne Hill. And, then to top it off, this wonderful stretch of tree-lined greenspace acts as a large front lawn for these coveted residences.
This is one of my favorite new neighborhoods for strolling. Traffic is very light, the streets are pleasant for walking and the homes (many of which have views of Lake Washington) are fun to admire.
From Hunter Boulevard you can head north to Mount Baker Park or southeast down the hill to Genesee Park.
