Dubbed a “pocket park” by the city, this simple park lends a little more greenspace to this corner of south-central Seattle. You’ll find a few benches and a flat grassy area for games or picnics.

Hi Linnea, congratulations on this great project! We’re thinking about inviting fellow stairway walkers and urban hikers like you to get together for a walk and a brew/coffee, to have some fun and get to know each other. I don’t know how to get thru to you via email so hopefully you see this comment. Please let us know if you’re interested, at least in a one-time get together. This might lead to bigger things, like monthly walks or something like that – who knows. I’m thinking of inviting people like Thomas Horton, who did the Queen Anne stairway map; Doug Beyerlein who is also mapping stairs; the executive director of Feet First, a pedestrian nonprofit here in Seattle, and Troy Heerwagen who has a blog called “Walking in Seattle” that, I see, just did a piece on our stairway blog. Would you be interested? If so I’ll include you in a follow-up email to the group with proposed dates/times, probably in February. You can email your reply to jakejaramillo@comcast.net
