Greg Davis Park is one of a trio of parks I discovered today in the Delridge neighborhood of West Seattle. All three parks offer trails and connections to the Longfellow Creek Legacy Trail, a wonderful place to walk.
Follow the trail along the creek for a close-up view of one of the only streams in Seattle that isn’t piped underground. If you’re a bird-watcher, this is also a great park for spotting–and hearing–a variety of species. It was noisy with chirping on the trail the spring day that I visited.
These trails are dog-friendly (on a leash) and stroller-friendly. Kids will enjoy walking short distances, since there are many fun distractions to captivate.
Greg was a Delridge resident who organized clean-up projects of the creek and surrounding area before he passed away in 1993. He was instrumental in getting this park created.
