I visit a lot of mostly empty neighborhood parks during the week. So, I was pleased to find one in the north Ballard area that seemed to be full of life even on a Friday morning.
Salmon Bay Park is a busy scene on this chilly spring day with dogs and owners jogging or walking among the tall trees that make up most of this park. The wonderful old trees, curved paths and rolling lawn invite neighbors to pass through, and it seems like this park gets a lot of regular use.
The playground is also full of activity even though kids are bundled in jackets and hats. Kids will find a big play structure, swings and a large sandbox, which is the place to be seen today.
