This trio of parks is really all part of the West Duwamish Greenbelt, the biggest greenbelt in Seattle and one that is actually fairly accessible to visitors. These parks, located in eastern West Seattle, have hiking trails hidden among the dense trees.
If you’re interested in exploring the more than five miles of trails, you can find two rudimentary maps here and here. Because it is such a large area and heavily forested, it’s best to hike with a buddy or dog. And, keep your eye out for wildlife, as foxes and bald eagles have apparently been spotted.
The Puget Mill Co. donated this land to the city in 1912 to form this preserved space.
