A friend and I ventured out today into the drizzly morning to visit a trio of parks in the Crown Hill/Greenwood area. The first stop was Crown Hill Park, which just opened in 2012.
A small skate park is the main attraction, but you’ll also find some cool climbing structures that look more like art than playground. The flat, paved paths are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, and a handful of picnic tables and benches are situated around the park. There’s also a playfield and large open lawn for picnics and games.
This neighborhood lacks sidewalks, so it’s nice to see some new green spaces. From Crown Hill Park, you can take the overpass over busy Holman Rd. and walk just a couple of blocks to Baker Park.
