I decided earlier in this project to skip the city’s four golf courses. Although they are technically Seattle parks, they aren’t really accessible to the public to explore without paying a fee. (And I don’t know anything about golf, so I make a poor judge of them.)
But, I recently discovered that one of the courses, Jackson Park Golf Course in northeast Seattle, has a public walking trail that circles the entire course. I thought this part of Seattle lacked an uninterrupted walking trail like Green Lake Park, Discovery Park or Seward Park, so this was a great find.
It’s not as scenic as other Seattle walking paths, but the trail has been recently improved and some sections of the Jackson Park Golf Course trail are wooded and quite lovely. The loop is 2 1/4 miles and is easy to access from many points around the course. You’ll find signage and a trail map in a few locations.

I live across the highway so this sounds like its worth checking out.
